What is Unsigned about?
The search for the hottest Unsigned bands (bands not signed to a major record label). These bands will write and perform their own music, they'll be critiqued by industry experts, and voted on by the TV viewers. The program will also air a behind the scenes look at the participating bands. Unsigned is designed to appeal to the inner talent scout in all of us. The viewer gets to play the role of lable executive, and choose which band should win.
How are the bands chosen?
Bands submit their press kits to participating sponsors, and are reviewed by a selection committee, producers, etc. Selected bands will be placed on qualifiers in their respective cities, and we'll determine who moves on to the finale based on performance, sound, originality, stage presence, crowd response, and overall appeal. Bands may also send an email to
info@unsignedrock.com
for more details. The line-up for the pilot has been finalized, but we'll announce when we need press kits for the next season.
What will the winner receive?
